An overview of the materials and methods behind the collection.

01

Casted Glass

Glass casting is an ancient technique that dates back to early civilizations such as the Egyptians. It involves melting glass into a mould, where it slowly takes form as it cools. I create my own moulds and often incorporate metal powders and other materials, allowing unexpected textures and interactions to emerge. The process requires both patience and precision. Each piece follows a carefully controlled firing schedule and can take up to a week before the kiln can be opened. Only then does the final result reveal itself, ready for refinement and finishing.

02

Fused Glass

Fused glass is where the glass speaks the loudest. These works are often three dimensional and almost always combined with other elements. I find myself returning again and again to birds and wings, which are an endless source of inspiration. There is a unique fragility in shaping wings from glass. They are delicate yet strong, luminous and alive with colour. My sculptures truly come into their own when placed in natural light, where the glass reveals its depth, shifting tones and inner glow.

03

Mixed Media

Mixed media allows me to bring different materials and techniques into dialogue with one another. By combining glass with elements such as metal, clay, paint or found objects, I can explore contrasts in texture, transparency and form. This approach offers greater freedom to experiment and to move beyond the boundaries of a single medium. Each piece becomes a meeting point where structure and spontaneity, fragility and strength come together to create something layered and unexpected.

04

Painting

Painting allows me to explore ideas in a more intuitive and expressive way. Here, colour, movement and emotion take the lead. I work in layers, letting the process guide the outcome, responding to what gradually emerges on the surface. My paintings often echo themes found in my glass work, such as nature, transformation and a sense of quiet motion, but expressed in a softer, more fluid language. They invite the viewer to pause, to reflect and to find their own meaning within the work. Some of my older paintings often feature nude bodies, I have always been intrigued with shadows playing, creating depth and life.
